Animal Rescue of Tracy depends on volunteers to help save and find great homes for our dogs and cats. We are a 100% volunteer-based non-profit organization, so everyone associated with our group is a volunteer. We continually need more volunteers that are dedicated to saving homeless cats & dogs.
Join us to find new homes for our adoptable pets. From setup to cleanup and animal care to public interaction, we are always looking for help at our weekend adoption fairs. Whether you can invest your time into one fair a week or one fair a month, we’re happy to have your help.
Another important part of our success has been the help of enthusiastic volunteers in identifying fundraiser opportunities and raising money through ticket sales, event participation, and of course spreading the word about Animal Rescue of Tracy. We also appreciate any opportunity to make the public more aware of our organization and mission through media slots, articles, partnerships, etc.
If you’re aged 14-17 years and would like to help Animal Rescue of Tracy while fulfilling your community service hours, we can help each other! Junior volunteers may serve the following programs:
Junior volunteer efforts do not go unnoticed. Awarded in 2019 at the Mayor's Ball, the Rescue Rewards incentive program catches students in the act of stellar performance. Students earn points from the Rescue for doing their best.
Students also have a chance to win amazing goodies donated by local businesses.
One of our greatest areas of need is Cat Cuddlers at the Tracy Petsmart Adoption Center. In order to continue this valuable exposure for our cats, we are responsible for keeping the space clean and providing them with daily interaction. This is an excellent project for a cat lover, since you'll get the chance to spend time with the cats during the cleaning. It is also an excellent exercise for a responsible child whose parents want to teach them about the responsibilities of pet ownership.
